🐾 The Process of Reserving a Sphynx Kitten from True North Nakey’s
We’re committed to matching our Canadian Sphynx kittens with loving, responsible homes. Here’s how our simple and transparent reservation process works:
Submit an application
If you're interested in adopting one of our Sphynx kittens, we kindly ask that you complete our adoption application. This helps us ensure each kitten is matched with the best possible home. Applicants must be prepared to provide a loving, indoor-only environment, commit to proper veterinary care, and have an understanding of the unique needs of the Sphynx breed.
Place a reservation deposit
To secure your place on our waitlist and reserve a kitten, a non-refundable $200.00 deposit is required. This deposit confirms your commitment and allows us to hold a specific kitten for you as they grow. The deposit will be applied toward the final adoption fee. We recommend submitting your deposit promptly once approved to ensure you don’t miss out on your chosen kitten.
Final payment & Vet clearance
The remaining balance of the adoption fee is due before your kitten’s pickup date. Prior to release, each kitten undergoes a full veterinary health check to ensure they are in excellent condition. We provide all health records, including vaccinations and deworming, and will only release kittens once they have been cleared by our veterinarian for a healthy transition to their new home.
Application review & approval
Once your application is submitted, we’ll review it carefully to ensure a great fit for both you and our kitten/s. We may reach out with a few follow-up questions or to schedule a brief phone call. Our goal is to place each kitten in a loving, knowledgeable, and committed home. Approved applicants will receive an email with next steps, including information about available kittens, how to place a deposit, and how the waitlist works.
Receive weekly updates
Once your kitten is reserved, we’ll keep you connected with weekly photo and video updates showing their growth and playful moments. These updates help you feel involved throughout the journey until your kitten is ready to join your family. We’re also happy to schedule video calls if you want a live peek at your future nakey baby!
Pick up or delivery
Kittens are typically picked up in person at our cattery in Ontario during scheduled appointments. We strive to make the process smooth and convenient for you. For families located further away, we also offer safe, trusted delivery options. Delivery arrangements are discussed individually and may include additional fees to ensure your kitten arrives safely and comfortably to their new home.
LIFE LONG SUPPORT
At True North Nakey’s, our relationship doesn’t end when you take your kitten home. We’re here to provide lifelong support - whether it’s advice on care, health questions, or just sharing your kitten’s milestones. Your Nakey baby is part of our extended family, and we’re always happy to help you give them the best life possible.
