Canadian roots

The Sphynx breed began in the 1960s in Toronto, Ontario, when a natural genetic mutation resulted in a hairless kitten. Breeders began carefully developing the Sphynx from this lineage, focusing on health, structure, and temperament. Today, the breed is cherished worldwide for its distinct look and engaging personality.

Distinctive appearance

Though often described as “hairless,” Sphynx cats are actually covered in a soft layer of down, giving their skin a warm, suede-like feel. Their skin also shows the color and pattern their fur would have had, such as tabby, tortie, or pointed.

• Large ears and prominent cheekbones

• Muscular, medium-sized body

• Expressive, lemon-shaped eyes

• Wrinkled skin and a long, whip-like tail

They’re also known for their unusually warm body temperature—a result of their lack of insulation.

We prioritize the health of all our kittens. Like many purebred cats, Sphynx may be predisposed to certain conditions, such as:

• Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)

• Skin sensitivities

• Dental issues

All our breeding cats are screened and health-checked regularly, and we work closely with our veterinary partners to ensure our kittens receive the best possible start in life.

Ideal living environment

Sphynx cats are strictly indoor pets. They thrive in warm, comfortable environments where they can snuggle under blankets, sit in sunbeams, or curl up on their favorite human. They love companionship and do best in homes where they are not left alone for long periods.
